We Built the Tool We Wished Existed

Four hundred Candies. Weeks of walking, hatching eggs, and grinding Community Days. And when the evolution finally happened, the Gyarados that came out was barely stronger than what any casual player had sitting in their collection. A ten-times CP multiplier wasted on a Pokémon that had mediocre stats to begin with.
That frustration is exactly where pokemongoevolutioncalculator.com was born.

We are a small team of Pokémon Go trainers. The kind who track spawn windows, study game master file updates, debate IV thresholds for PvP leagues, and walk embarrassing amounts of kilometers just to earn Buddy Candy. We have been playing since launch week in 2016. We have seen the game evolve through every generation, every mechanic overhaul, and every seasonal meta shift.
And through all of it, one problem never went away. There was no single reliable place to predict your Pokémon’s CP after evolution before you committed your resources. The tools that existed were either slow to load, cluttered with ads, difficult to use on mobile, or simply inaccurate. So we built our own.

What This Tool Actually Does

The Pokémon Go Evolution Calculator is a free, browser-based tool that predicts the CP range your Pokémon will reach after evolution. No app installation. No account connection. No data collected. Just open it, enter your Pokémon and current CP, and get your result in seconds.

Here is what the calculator shows you with every result:

Post-Evolution CP Range: The minimum and maximum CP your Pokémon could reach, accounting for all possible hidden IV combinations
All Evolution Stages: For multi-stage Pokémon like Dratini, every stage is calculated simultaneously with no need for separate lookups.
Mega Evolution CP: Where applicable, the CP youPokémonon reaches in Mega form for Raid and Master League planning
HP After Evolution: Hit Points are shown alongside CP because both determine how your Pokémon performs in sustained battle
Candy Cost: How many Candies each stage requires is shown right next to the CP result,, so you can plan everything in one view

The Problem We Kept Running Into

Every serious Pokemon GO trainer knows the feeling. You have a high-CP Pokemon sitting in your storage. You think about evolving it. Then you hesitate because you have been burned before. You committed resources to something that looked promising only to get a result that never made your battle team.

The problem is not random. It is predictable if you know the formula. CP after evolution is calculated from your Pokemon’s base stats which change on evolution, its hidden Individual Values, and its level multiplier. The math is not guesswork. It is deterministic. And if you have access to that math before you evolve, you can make a confident decision every single time.

Your Pokemon GO Account Is Always Safe With Us

This is something we care deeply about and want to state plainly. Niantic officially warns trainers never to share login credentials with unauthorized third-party apps or services. Some tools in the Pokemon GO ecosystem ask you to connect your account, grant overlay permissions, or share your Google login token. These actions put your account at genuine risk including permanent bans and account compromise.

Our calculator works completely differently. You type a CP number into a text box and the tool does math. That is the entire interaction. We have no access to your Pokemon GO account, your Google account, or any personal data. Your trainer progress and account security remain 100 percent yours.

How We Keep the Data Accurate

Pokémon Go updates its game master file regularly and without announcement. New Pokémon are added, stats are rebalanced, and evolution paths change with each major update. We monitor these changes and refresh our database whenever the game master file is updated.

  • Every Pokémon’s Attack, Defense, and Stamina base stats are pulled from the current live game master file
  • The CPM values used to calculate CP at each level are verified against the current game version
  • New evolutions, branching paths, and form changes are added with each new generation release
  • Evolution candy requirements are tracked and updated whenever Niantic modifies them
  • If you ever spot a discrepancy between our calculator’s prediction and your actual in-game result, we want to hear about it. Use the contact form and include your Pokémon species, its current CP, and the actual result you received. We investigate and fix confirmed errors within 24 hours.

Who Uses This Calculator

We built this tool for every kind of Pokémon Go trainer, not just the competitive ones.

New Player: Just caught their first Eevee and has no idea how strong each evolution will be. The calculator shows all eight Eeveelution CP results at once, so they can pick with confidence.

The Casual Trainer: Wants to evolve a Pikachu and wonders if it will actually be worth it. Uses the calculator to see the CP jump before deciding.

The Resource Manager: Has multiple Dragonite candidates at different CP values. Runs each through the calculator to find which will evolve into the strongest Dragonite, then transfers the rest.

The PvP Competitor: Building a Great League tea,m and needs to check that theiPokémonon will not exceed 1,500 CP after evolution. The calculator confirms the safe evolution window.

The Raid Battler: Preparing for a five-star Legendary Raid and wants to confirm their evolved attacker will hit the CP threshold needed to contribute meaningfully.

Have a question, spotted an inaccuracy, or want to suggest a feature? We genuinely read every message.
